Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Money Counter handles information when you use the app. Money Counter is designed so that the cash counts, account names, balances, denominations, transaction notes, and other financial records you enter remain on your device or, if you enable sync, in your private iCloud account. We do not send that content to Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
Information We Process
We process limited information in the following categories:
- Financial records you create: Cash counts, balances, accounts, custom denominations, notes, and history are stored locally. If you enable iCloud sync, Apple processes a copy in your private iCloud/CloudKit account so the data can sync between your devices.
- Analytics data: Firebase Analytics may process an app-instance identifier, coarse location derived from a masked IP address, device and operating-system information, app lifecycle events, product interactions, and limited events about feature use. Our custom events do not include counted amounts, balances, account names, notes, or other financial content.
- Purchase information: Apple StoreKit processes purchases and subscription status. Firebase Analytics may receive product identifiers, product names, prices, currency, and purchase events generated by StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics may process crash logs, stack traces, app state, app version, device model, operating-system version, and a build-configuration label to diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
Data Use
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our app services
- Process and manage your in-app purchases
- Understand aggregated feature use and improve key workflows
- Diagnose crashes and maintain app security and stability
- Respond to support requests you choose to send us
Service Providers and Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We use the following service providers only for the purposes described here:
- Google Firebase: Firebase Analytics provides aggregated usage analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics provides crash diagnostics. Google may process this data on global infrastructure under its applicable terms.
- Apple: StoreKit processes purchases and subscriptions. iCloud/CloudKit processes app records only when you enable sync. Apple handles this information under its privacy policy and your Apple Account settings.
Data Security
Your app records are primarily protected by iOS security and, when enabled, iCloud security. Data sent to Firebase is encrypted in transit; Crashlytics data is also encrypted at rest. No security method is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention
Local records remain until you delete them or remove the app. iCloud records remain subject to your app actions and Apple Account settings. Analytics and diagnostic data are retained according to our Firebase configuration and Google's applicable retention practices, only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
Children's Privacy
Money Counter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Rights
You can edit or delete app records within Money Counter, disable iCloud sync in the app or Apple Account settings, and manage subscriptions in App Store settings. Deleting the app removes its local data, but may not delete synced iCloud records or data already retained by service providers. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a privacy request. We may need information to verify and complete it.
